Totai (Pty) Ltd ("Totai", "we", "us", or "our") operates the Totai One mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the App.

• Precise Location (GPS): Used for driver tracking, delivery verification, store visit check-in/check-out, and route optimisation.
• Background Location: Used to track driver location during active delivery trips to provide real-time updates to dispatch.

Camera and Photos

• Camera: Used to capture delivery proof photos, store visit photos, and scan barcodes/documents.
• Storage Access: Used to save and upload photos related to deliveries and store visits.

Notifications

• Push Notifications: Used to send order updates, delivery assignments, and other business communications.

Sensors

• Device Sensors: May be used for step counting or activity recognition in delivery tracking scenarios.

Audio

• Microphone: May be used for voice notes attached to deliveries or communication features.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information solely for business operations:

• Authenticating users and managing access to business features.
• Tracking deliveries and verifying proof of delivery.
• Managing store visit schedules and recording visit details.
• Providing real-time driver location to dispatch for route management.
• Sending business-related notifications about orders, deliveries, and assignments.
• Generating reports for business performance analysis.

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties outside of Totai (Pty) Ltd. Data is shared only:

• Within Totai's internal systems for business operations.
• With authorised managers and dispatchers who require access for their role.
• When required by South African law or legal process.

4. Data Storage and Security

• All data is stored on Totai's secured servers.
• Data transmission is encrypted using HTTPS/TLS.
• Authentication tokens are securely stored on your device.
• Access to data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as you are an active user of the App or as required for business record-keeping and legal compliance under South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), you have the right to:
